The Leavenworth-pass-through angle matters here. Plenty of Chelan-bound traffic comes east over Stevens, drops down US-2 through Leavenworth, then takes US-97 north to the lake. We're 35 minutes from Leavenworth on US-2 and 45 minutes from Chelan on US-97 — a natural stop in the middle of that route either direction.
