Leavenworth to Wenatchee runs about 35 minutes east on US-2 through Tumwater Canyon — one of the most-driven stretches of highway in the state during Oktoberfest and Christmas-Lights season, plus the natural exit out of the village for anyone heading anywhere east. The Stevens Pass angle matters here. Plenty of west-side traffic comes east over the pass, drops down US-2 through Leavenworth, and picks up groceries-plus-cannabis in Wenatchee before continuing on to Chelan or back toward the Tri-Cities.
